We didn't plant any annuals this year except for a lovely wine barrel which Garry gave me for Mother's Day. They have these all over the country club where he works and the landscaper gave him the plans to create one. We have some lovely perennials, however - an oak leaf hydrangea, some very nice coral bells that line our front walk and two very full spiraea.
