Finger Lakes Region, NY

It was an absolutely gorgeous weekend - not a cloud in the sky. We toured wineries http://www.belhurst.com/index.htm and http://www.foxrunvineyards.com/ and http://www.wagnervineyards.com/ and several New York State Parks around Seneca Lake with fantastic waterfalls you wouldn't believe. Watkins Glen State Park had the tallest falls with a 215' drop, http://www.gowaterfalling.com/waterfalls/watkins.shtml We also visited Taughannock State Park, Buttermilk Falls State Park, and Robert H. Treman State Park where we saw Lucifer Falls and each one was more incredible than the next.

We also stopped in Ithaca at a lovely Farmer's Market and then headed over to Cornell University to check out Big Red's Stadium and the clock tower.

The view from the front of the house was calm and peaceful, especially as dusk and dawn. On sunday morning, Richard and Garry decided they'd better hit the lake before we left to come home. Kayaking was the sport of choice.
